Growing & Giving
During the 2021 - 2022 school year our class built a vegetable trailer to sell the vegetables we grow in the CSE greenhouse. This vegetable trailer, the 4th & Pine Mercantile, was open to the public throughout the summer of 2022. Donations are suggested on the chalk board, but those who can't pay can freely take as much food as they need. Rising prices have made it hard for many families in our community, so we have given access to free local produce to our community.
Mr. Chris Bickford oversees the microgreens team as they plant and harvest in the CSE, the school's greenhouse. During the summer, he harvests and stocks the vegetable trailer.
